MPA Tuition Scholarships

Scholarship

50% for first five courses

 

25% for last six courses

 

 

Criteria

 

 

Scholarships will be given to the students with the highest criteria factors.

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Maintain a cumulative 3.5 in the MPA Program for future eligibility
  • Need based after assessment of FAFSA form and IIT addendum form by IIT staff
  • Submittal of an Professional Statement on the rationale for pursuing a MPA
  • No minimum of courses to be taken each semester
  • Application required each academic year but scholarships awarded for each semester
  • Waiver to be credited after add/drop deadline for courses
  • Decisions on awards to be made by Academic Director

To apply, you need to:

  1. Submit an email request, as soon as possible, to the MPA Assistant Director, Larry Ruffolo (at ruffolo@iit.edu), indicating your desire to qualify for one of these scholarships.

  2. You will also need to submit to Larry Ruffolo a Professional Statement (minimum of two pages) reflecting your background, influences, professional goals relating to public sector work and how obtaining a MPA degree will help you accomplish these goals (this document can also be used to fulfill an admission requirement when applying for a MPA degree).

  3. Lastly, you will need to complete and submit an online FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. This can be done at: www.fafsa.ed.gov. Please use School Code for FAFSA of E00773 Chicago Kent College of Law (we share the same Financial Office here with Chicago-Kent). You will also need a PIN in order to complete the FAFSA form online; and can obtain one at: www.pin.ed.gov.
