Financing Your MPA Degree

Tuition is $778 per credit hour for the 2007-2008 academic year. For an overview of tuition and fees for 2007-2008, please click here. Students can meet tuition costs with the help of several programs available through the University:

1. Tuition Scholarship Programs:
   
   IIT Merit Scholarships available to all part-time graduate students with an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or higher. Information about this program can be found here.
   
   MPA Tuition Scholarships. More information about this program is available here.
   
   Graduate College Dean's Half-Tuition Scholarships. Contact the MPA Assistant Director at (312) 906-5197 or ruffolo@iit.edu for more information about this program.
   
   
2. Tuition Deferment Program. Students whose employers offer tuition reimbursement plans can elect to defer their tuition until up to 45 days after the completion of the semester. To participate in this program, students must fill out the attached form and have their employers write them a letter stating the organization’s reimbursement policy. 3. 3-Installment Semester Payment Plan. Part-time students may choose to spread out their tuition payments over 3 months in a semester. For exact payment schedules of each semester call the IIT Bursar’s Office at 312-567-3785 or see online.
   
   
4. 4-Installment Semester Payment Plan. Full-time students may choose to spread out their tuition payments over 4 months in a semester. For exact payment schedules of each semester call the IIT Bursar’s Office at 312-567-3785 or see online.
   
   
5. 9-Installment Yearly Payment Plan. Full-time students may choose to spread out their tuition payments over 9 months for the entire year. For exact payment schedules of each semester call the IIT Bursar’s Office at 312-567-3785 or see online.
   
   
6. Government-Sponsored Loan Programs. Loans sponsored by the federal government and local banks are available for graduate students who take six credit hours or more per semester.
